Learn How to Play Mahjong Online

This page features single-player games also known as Mahjong Solitaire. Up to 144 tiles are laid out on the table in layered tile-arrangements such as the Turtle, Fortress, or Pyramid layout.

The objective is to find the identical pairs and match them up, making the tiles vanish from the board. To complete the level, you must remove every last tile. However, tiles that are boxed in or covered by other stones cannot be selected, and must be freed up first.

Train your Brain with Different Mahjong Game Variations

The player is usually allowed to ask for hints or shuffle the tiles when they run out of moves, but this is not always the case. For example, the single-level game Mahjong Titans does not allow this, making this classic title a strategic challenge to complete. Mahjong Story 2, on the other hand, features both shuffles and hints, along with boosters and a narrative spanning +1000 levels.

Other popular variations on mahjong solitaire include Mahjong Connect and 3D Mahjong.

Play Mahjong Connect and Link Up the Tiles

In Mahjong Connect games such as Butterfly Kyodai, the player can only match identical tiles if a connecting line can be drawn between them. This line cannot run though any other tiles and may not make more than two 90-degree bends.
